With nearly all permits in hand we are beginning our sales campaign!
The Boardwalk Resort is being built just south of The Boardwalk Grill, which used to be the Carter Villa restaurant many years ago. Carter Villa was a small resort on the west bank of Grand Lake Saint Mary’s, and it included several cottages and waterfront docking. It was well known around the Celina area for having lots of good times in the summer. Carter Villa’s home baked pies are still talked about by some locals! The Boardwalk Resort will be within walking distance from the City of Celina’s new amphitheater and park system, which will be a wonderful new addition to Celina!
Alexander & Bebout Incorporated designed the buildings for the Boardwalk Resort with the assistance of partners Bill Edmonds and Jim Edmonds. The development is a partnership of Alexander & Bebout, Bill Edmonds, Jim Edmonds and Bill Simms, and will be known as Lakefront Maritime Developers LLC. Alexander & Bebout (A&B) will be the General Contractor for the entire project. A&B are prominent builders in the region and have built condominiums and many other successful projects around the state of Ohio. On the “Builder” tab in this website you can see more information about them.
A&B will be utilizing many area contractors for the Boardwalk Resort project. Some local contractors being considered are Bruns Building & Development, Consolidated Hunter, Koester Electric and B&B Carpet. Site preparation will begin with the final clean-up of the lake front cottages remaining from the old Carter Villa days. This is slated to take place yet this year.
